Uncapped Nigerian, Kalu Listed As Young Promising European Star

Nigeria’s uncapped player Samuel Kalu has been listed as one of the most promising prospect aged U20 in European football according to a list released by International Centre for Sports Studies, (CIES) football Observatory’s report.

Samuel Kalu who plies his trade with K.A.A Gent of Belgium has made 22 appearances for the club and scored four goals but yet to get any national team call up.

The winger who was born in Nigeria has been performing excellently with his club and that has made him number 17 and the only young Nigerian player to be included as the most promising prospects in Europe football.

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was adjudged as the most promising prospect aged under 20 in European football ahead of Toulouse goalkeeper, Alban Lafont and Paris Saint-Germain wonder kid Kyllian Mbappe .

CIES analysed the players based on minutes played according to the sporting level of leagues and the results achieved by employer clubs.

The top 10 players are rated as “five-star prospects” who “should be able to establish themselves in the very best European teams”.
